Board of Education


The Madison District Public Schools is seeking applications for the current vacant position on the board of education. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position and will serve out the remaining years of the term until December 31, 2019.

Interested persons must submit a letter expressing interest in the board position and their qualifications for the position to the district office no later than 4 p.m. on February 3, 2017.  Following a review of the submitted materials, the board will schedule interviews with selected candidates. Your Board of Education is composed of seven district residents who represent the community at-large.

If a vacancy occurs between annual elections, the remaining trustees appoint a new member to serve until the next election.

Board Meetings

The Board of Education meets regularly on the first Monday of each month, unless otherwise specified. The meetings take place in the Wilkinson Middle School Media Center.  Wilkinson is located at 26524 John R, Madison Heights, MI 48071.  The meetings begin at 7:00 pm.
